On 14 January the POWER project organised the WP2.7 Future Technologies Workshop focused on the identification of emerging clean energy technologies and their potential vulnerability to weaponisation through disinformation
The event was held in a hybrid format and brought together experts from the four countries of the consortium including researchers professors energy specialists communication managers journalists from the renewable energy sector and experts in climate and energy disinformation
During the workshop participants worked on mapping new developments in clean energy fields such as solar wind hydrogen and bioenergy analysing how these technologies could be misrepresented in digital narratives strengthening resilience through multidisciplinary knowledge sharing and contributing insights to POWER’s narrative matrix and the development of a multilingual lexicon to support transparent public communication
The workshop concluded with a shared recognition that anticipating disinformation risks is essential to ensure a trustworthy and inclusive clean energy transition across Euro
