On 26 March 2026, the POWER project was presented at the DISTUM Erasmus Week 2026 at the University of Urbino by Prof. Manuel Gertrudix, highlighting its role in tackling disinformation related to the clean energy transition.

The presentation, titled “Disinformation in the Digital Age: Research and Action Projects under Erasmus+”, positioned POWER as the latest step in a consolidated line of Erasmus+ projects developed by the Ciberimaginario Research Group, building on previous initiatives such as CRESCENt and DOMINOES.

POWER focuses on one of the most pressing challenges for European societies: the spread of disinformation narratives that undermine public trust in renewable energy and hinder the transition towards sustainable energy systems. By combining research, education and communication strategies, the project aims to strengthen societal resilience and promote informed, evidence-based public discourse.

During the session, the project’s approach was presented, including the identification of key disinformation narratives, the use of social listening methodologies, and the development of open educational resources and training activities. Particular emphasis was placed on POWER’s commitment to media and information literacy, as well as its innovative use of digital tools and immersive experiences to engage different audiences.

The presentation also highlighted how POWER builds on the experience and results of previous Erasmus+ projects, consolidating a long-term strategy based on open knowledge, international collaboration and educational innovation.
