The University of Malta hosted five days of learning and international collaboration within the European POWER project, from 26 to 30 October 2026.
The Malta Clean Energy Café concluded successfully after a week dedicated to understanding and tackling disinformation about clean energy. The programme combined training, workshops and immersive experiences to strengthen critical thinking and science communication skills.
Working in international teams, participants explored disinformation narratives, verified information and developed responses to misleading content. Case studies included the April 2025 blackout in Spain.

The programme featured virtual reality scenarios, an augmented reality challenge and digital storytelling tools. These activities enabled participants to apply their learning to practical situations and develop communication proposals addressing the energy transition.
The week concluded with teams presenting their campaigns, bringing together the work developed throughout the sessions.
The POWER team thanks all participants, trainers and the University of Malta for their contribution to the success of this experience.
