The European project POWER held its second Transnational Project Meeting on 17–18 February 2026 at the University of Malta, bringing together partners to advance ongoing work on understanding and countering disinformation around clean energy.
The meeting focused on early results from collaborative research into energy-related disinformation narratives, including progress on a shared lexicon and new approaches to analysing how misleading content spreads across digital environments .
A key highlight was a workshop exploring cases from Romania and Spain, offering a comparative perspective and revealing common patterns in how disinformation evolves in different sociocultural contexts.
The consortium also looked ahead, designing participatory initiatives such as the Clean Energy Cafés and other training activities aimed at strengthening media literacy and critical thinking.
The meeting concluded with a clear roadmap for the next phase of the project, reinforcing collaboration and POWER’s commitment to making reliable, accessible information about the energy transition more visible.
